On October 24th, Neagley & Chase celebrated the “topping out” of the Trapp Lager Brewery, the newest addition to the Trapp Family Lodge resort in Stowe, Vermont. Topping out is a ceremony held when the last beam is placed during a construction project. An evergreen tree is placed on top of the building as a tribute to the forest that would traditionally have provided the materials, though modern buildings may not use wooden beams. Members of the von Trapp family treated our crew to a hot buffet lunch to celebrate the topping out of the brewery.
We completed a state-of-the art fitness center for the Trapp Family Lodge in 2005 and are proud to be creating this newest addition to the hotel. The Trapp Lager Brewery will be a 40,000 square foot space, complete with a beer hall for visitors, and is scheduled to open next summer.
We’re thrilled to continue to be a part of expanding the legacy of the von Trapp family in Vermont!
