On Monday morning, February 2nd, 2015, we were pleased to host a delegation of mid-senior level professionals from Eurasia. The Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) program was established by the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration. SABIT reached out to us to speak with the delegates about our experiences and methods of “Energy Efficient” construction. The nineteen delegates selected by SABIT were in South Burlington, VT to attend the two-day Better Buildings by Design Conference sponsored by Efficiency Vermont.
The morning consisted of a 30 minute presentation created by Andrew, Michelle and Walter. After brief comments by Tom, Mark, and Andrew, Walter dove into the process by which we design and build energy efficient buildings. The oral presentation was followed by a tour of the Neagley & Chase offices and warehouse to show them what we had done with our own facility. We then took them to Logic Supply to see one of our current projects under construction, and ended with a stop at the new Williston Dept. of Public Works project for a walkthrough of a finished energy efficient product.
By all accounts, the morning was a great success! We managed to keep two interpreters very busy as there were many great questions from the group, which created a unique chance for us to share our expertise in energy efficiency.
