15,000 sf of renovation to a fully occupied, active chocolate manufacturing facility.
Pre-task planning and careful monitoring were integral parts of daily construction activities to ensure air quality standards were met in the adjacent occupied warehouse and process factory spaces. The use of negative pressure air machines and robust isolation measures provided additional preventative measures. Communication with staff was key to meeting an accelerated construction schedule where construction traffic and shipping & receiving areas were actively co-mingled.
Demolition of interior walls and portions of existing slabs, construction of equipment platforms, addition of steel structure for process piping, and the implementation of lighting and mechanical upgrades, allowed for a seamless integration of two new production, assembly, and packaging lines.« Return to Case Study Gallery
