A Challenge:
Healthcare facilities throughout our region currently have similar challenges with aging infrastructure needs being coupled with significant changes to healthcare demands and delivery. For Gifford Medical Center, this meant the demands outpaced resources.
Our Solution:
Working closely with the hospital’s leadership, facilities, and specialized design team, extensive preplanning efforts were developed to prioritize the scope of needed upgrades, capital improvements, and changes to service offerings. This infrastructure-focused master planning and conceptual estimating laid the groundwork for well-informed decisions around project feasibility and priority. Logistics, constructability, and sequencing were critical factors in providing a holistic and realistic strategy for meeting Gifford’s facility’s emerging needs.
