Project Overview:
Extensive renovation of an existing multi-story wood-framed building to provide
permanent, year-round shelter space for local unhoused population.
The scope of renovations included a reconfiguration of rooms, installation of a lift to provide access to both levels, creation of a new common space and administrative space, installation of new heating and ventilation systems, and extensive energy upgrades.
Energy upgrades included new windows, extensive air sealing, new continuous rigid insulation on the exterior and new siding. Robust air-sealing efforts yielded outstanding blower door test results of 0.04 CFM50/SF.
