Project Overview:
9,500 sf construction fit up of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary veterinary facility.
To minimize patient stress, the Dorset Street Animal Hospital floor plan prioritizes species-specific segregation from the moment of entry. There are separated waiting areas and specialized examinations rooms for dogs and cats, reducing anxiety and allowing for species-appropriate diagnostic tools.
The facility supports a high volume of diagnostic and preventative care through a centralized medical hub which includes a diagnostic suite, treatment and phlebotomy, and on-site pharmacy. While an advanced surgical and dental wing provide state-of-the-art spaces and equipment for procedures, with recovery and observation areas that are integrated within treatment flow for safety and comfort.
The fit-up is completed by an infrastructure of administrative, storage, and support spaces that anchor the hospital’s daily operations. These essential back-of-house areas are strategically tucked away to maintain a clean, professional aesthetic while providing the logistical support needed for a facility of this scale. From the specialized climate-controlled boarding areas to the modern administrative offices, every square foot of the project was executed to balance clinical rigor with the comfort and safety of both the staff and the animals they serve.
