Project Overview:
A co-development between Downstreet Housing & Community Development and Evernorth, the Alice Whiting Apartments is a creative repurposing of a portion of the Johnson State College Campus.
The project consists of the redevelopment of an existing college lecture hall into affordable rental senior housing with thirteen (13) apartments and the new construction of a two-story building with twelve (12) units for a total of 25 apartments. The 25 apartments will consist of a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Site improvements will include stormwater management, site utilities, landscaping, infrastructure and surface parking. The project will be served by municipal water, storm and sewer connections.
Preconstruction is currently underway with a targeted construction start in late 2026.
