Vermont Youth Orchestra

Colchester, VT

When you hear the long, clean violin note dance through the rafters, it’s hard to believe this building was once the old cavalry riding ring for Fort Ethan Allen and then a college basketball court and storage shed. We preserved the original rafters, ceiling boards, and exterior, and engineered efficient heating and acoustics throughout the building to create a large performance hall, offices, and smaller lesson and recital spaces.
